Liked your essay. I too liked reference books, maps & flags. Something about cramming all that knowledge into a book that appealed to me in a way that isn't quite matched by the internet, I suppose.
I like that way of thinking about this, Anonymous. Cramming it all into a book and being able to touch and see the info is way more appealing to me, too -- a full sensory experience, including the smell of a book.
